I am sure a lot of you know these popular websites, but do you ever know whether the websites have their own offices or buildings? If the websites are very popular, I am sure there should be offices somewhere to handle the websites.

    Google office

Who do not know Google. The top search engine right now. If you really do not know what is Google, you don’t deserve to live in this virtual world. Even I will tell people to “Google it” although I only mean for him to use search engine. Google has offices in many countries but I am not sure about Malaysia. There is rumor that said Google is going to set up an office in Malaysia.

Google starts as search engine. Then they spread their wings by making advertisement that is called Google Adsense. Then they improve one step further by buying Blogspot and Youtube. This just make them an unstoppable advertising company. Since Google is the master of search engine, Google has build its web browser that is called Google Chrome. Still not enough, now they want to monopolize other area by producing Nexus One hand phone. I am sure Nokia and Sony Ericsson will have big impact once the Nexus One is released. It is possible that Google will make a community website that can fight Facebook and Friendster.

    Yahoo office

Before Google, Yahoo is the top search engine. Before I am in form 5, I never know about Google. Yahoo is the only search engine that I know. Although Yahoo can’t beat Google in search engine, I still like a few Yahoo’s application such as Yahoo Answer, My Blog Log and of course Yahoo Messenger.

    Facebook building

According to Alexa (a website that rank websites based on daily traffics), Facebook is currently the most popular website in Malaysia. If few years before Friendster is in the heart of most Malaysian, looks like Malaysian have changed. Friendster is currently ranking 16th in Malaysia.

I have both Friendster and Facebook account. For Friendster, I only open it once a month. Amazingly, Facebook managed to make me check my profile at least twice a week. I think I like how Facebook manage new notifications. Thanks to the notifications, I can know immediately if someone replying to my message or comment.

There is nothing to be surprised seeing Facebook above Friendster. What need to be surprised is how Facebook managed to beat Google. This just show that Malaysian like to enjoy a lot than making research. Doesn’t Facebook users know that Facebook earn more than million dollars per month while they earn nothing? Yes, we have just been a free worker to Facebook.

    E-Bay building

If Lelong is the top auction website in Malaysia, E-Bay is the top auction website in the world. If you have weird stuff, you can try to sell it at E-Bay. Who knows if you can get good prices of it. There is even someone who made millions just by selling his shit in E-Bay. I don’t know which maniac that buy the shit. Or perhaps the shit has its own abstract quality that us; normal human could not understand.

    Paypal building

Paypal is the virtual international bank. By using Paypal, you can made payment easily. Even Ebay and a lot of website enable you to pay by using Paypal. Registering Paypal is easy and free. How to get Paypal funds? You can use debit card to deposit the money or the easiest way is to find Paypal user that sells Paypal funds. For me, I am using Paypal to renew my domain names (mrr2.com) and hosting. Unlike Maybank2u and other online banking, you do not need to request for TAC through mobile phone. One more reason why I like Paypal.

    Microsoft building

Although there is a lot of available operating system, operating system based on Windows such as XP, Vista and Seven still are the famous of all. Windows is the brand for operating system by Microsoft Company. Microsoft is also the one who made Microsoft Office. You should not exist if you say you never use Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint. I still remember my first experience learning Microsoft PowerPoint in standard 4. The moving effects that can be done in PowerPoint really vivid in my memory. Thanks to my Dad for giving me the hard to forget experience.

Ps: During standard 4, the use of computer is still rare in Malaysia. I still remember that I need to wait for my Dad to return home from job each time my sister and I want to use PC. Ha ha, I don’t even dare to switch on the PC by myself because I am too worried that the PC would blown.
