With the new series aired on Starz TV on Saturday night, probably our children and we have the right time to watch TV together. But, you have to aware with the consequences for giving your children to watch Spartacus Blood and Sand. Classics tale of the republic stories, start with betrayed by Romans. Forced to slavery. Reborn as a Gladiator. Then, lead the rebellion against Romans.

    1. Violence.

Within 60 minutes of the first episode for this Spartacus series, I can barely say that 50% of the show contains the violent act from free hand fighting until bloody fight using sharp metal like chopper, sword and spear. Nobody can deny that gladiator arena must have those bloody fighting actions which brought to us through tv cable. Can’t imagine how they cut the throat and the blood start to explode and splash to tv screen. Surely you didn’t plan to turn your baby boy or girl into someone who apply violence if anything didn’t match their desire.

    2. Nudity.

Since Spartacus is the ancient historical series, it just can’t be avoided from nudity. The ancient people think that body is the greatest creature made and nothing has to be hidden. That’s why you can see in this show, too many naked men and women lie on the floor, lie on the bed and even from the audience seats of gladiator arena.

    3. Adult content and Adult Language.

With the unlawful son statistics rising up, we can’t just remain silent and do nothing. At least we can prevent our children from contributing to the statistics. From the first episode, at least 3 intimate actions shown to audience. I believe more to come in the next episodes since the hero of the series start to become the most important gladiator for the roman republic..

It’s good to teach our children about history. But, think about the consequences. Maybe you should filter its content while watching with your son or daughter. See ya…!!
